July 26th 2009 Rendezvous 66 Benefit Car Show in Carthage, MO, highlighting and raising funds for the Carthage Crisis Center. The Crisis center houses and feeds families from all over the area who hard times have visited. They are in the process of renovating and moving into a larger facility which will allow them to help even more individuals and families than they are currently able to help. All proceeds raised at the show will go to assist them in the renovation and move. This is a judged show with seven different classes giving awards to the top seven in each class. August 1st, 2009 Cuba, MO Fire Department Fund-Raiser 2nd Annual Guineness World Record Largest Rocking Chair's
"Lift to the Rocker", 9:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Fanning Outpost. The Cuba, MO Fire Department's bucket lifts your and your friends and family to the seat of the rocker for a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity. $5 donation per person, proceeds used for junior firefighter equipment. 5957 Hwy.
