Neon Preservation Fund
The Missouri Association’s Neon Heritage Preservation Committee (NHPC) was established by its Board of Directors in July 2006. Inspired by the success of New Mexico’s neon preservation and restoration program, the Missouri Association Board agreed that a similar initiative should be launched to preserve the neon heritage of our state.
The NHPC’s primary mission is twofold: to find homes for orphaned neon signs from Route 66 that come into our possession, and to preserve and restore, with historical accuracy, vintage neon signs that remain at their original locations.
SUPPORT THE MISSOURI ROUTE 66 MOTOR TOUR!
The Route 66 Association of Missouri invites you to join us as a proud sponsor of our annual Motor Tour. Your contribution- whether monetary or in-kind- helps us preserve, promote, and celebrate the legacy of Route 66 in the Show-Me State.
This year, we’re keeping it simple: donate whatever amount feels right to you, or contribute merchandise such as gift cards, event passes, or Route 66-themed items. Every sponsor receives the same benefits and will be recognized with gratitude throughout the tour!

Gasconade River Bridge Preservation
As you may or may not be aware, the Route 66 Gasconade bridge in Hazelgreen, Missouri has been closed and endangered for over eight years. I’m part of a group of determined Route 66 preservationists who have prevented the demolition of the bridge since it closed.
Jane Dippel Preservation Fund
The Route 66 Association of Missouri’s mission is to preserve and promote Route 66 in Missouri. Preservation means safeguarding the motels, restaurants, businesses, and other iconic landmarks that transform this highway from a mere ribbon of concrete into a living piece of history. These landmarks embody the essence of Route 66, drawing people to its roadsides and showcasing how it shaped the communities along its path. Preserving these treasures ensures that future generations can understand and appreciate the unique significance of Route 66 to Missouri and the nation.
